Abstract:
Compared to RC (Reinforced Concrete) utility tunnel,Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) utility tunnel can reduce structural slab thickness, allow for larger usable space, and improve the durability and service life.To compare the damage mechanisms and damage modes of two kindes of utility tunnels,as well as the cracking load, stiffness, ultimate bearing capacity and joint opening under, the mechanical performance test of the prestressing tendon connected UHPC utility tunnel and RC utility tunnel under the static force was carried out.The effect of prestressing degree on the longitudinal stiffness of the UHPC utility tunnel was analyzed by finite element model, and the stiffness calculation method was also to be explored. The results show that compared with RC utility tunnel, the cracking load, yield load and ultimate load of UHPC utility tunnel increase by 84%,36% and 45.5% respectively. And the bending stiffness of UHPC utility tunnel have is larger than that of RC utility tunnel. When reaching the ultimate load, the vertical misalignment of the UHPC utility tunnel joint is 38% smaller than that of the RC utility tunnel, indicating that the mechanical performance of UHPC utility tunnel joints is better than that of RC utility tunnel. The rigid calculation formal of the joints can provide a basis for the design calculation of UHPC utility tunnel.
