    Seismic Active Earth Pressure Analysis of Modular-block Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall Under RBT Mode

    • To consider the influence of displacement mode of reinforced soil retaining wall (RSRW) on seismic active earth pressure (SAEP),the calculation method of SAEP is deduced by using force polygon method and Winkler foundation beam model.The displacement mode of modular-block RSRW,the distribution of dynamic earth pressure increment and the position of resultant force point,the distribution of SAEP and the position of resultant force point are studied by large shaking table test.The calculation methods of seismic earth pressure in different countries and industries are summarized.The similarities and differences among the measured results,the proposed methods and the standard methods are compared and analyzed.The results show that the maximum displacement is at the top of the wall panel,and the displacement mode is rotation around the base and translation coupling (RBT) mode dominated by rotation deformation.The dynamic earth pressure increment is nonlinearly distributed,and the position of resultant force action point decreases with the increase of peak acceleration.The distribution of SAEP is nonlinear,and the joint action point is between 0.34~0.45 wall height.Comparing the standard method,the proposed method and the test data,the results show that the calculated values are slightly different,and the overall distribution trend of the resultant force is basically the same.The position of the resultant force action point calculated by the proposed method is close to the trend of the measured results.
