    Study on Flexural Behavior of Timber Beams Strengthened with Hybrid Fiber Sheets

    • The hybrid fiber strengthening method for timber structure has the advantages of easy construction,good performance and retaining the original size of components,but there are also some problems such as difficulty in theoretical calculation and inaccurate mechanical evaluation.Therefore,in order to analyze the flexural behavior of timber beams strengthened with hybrid fiber sheets,this paper presents a finite element simulation method based on the elastic-plastic damage constitutive model.The effect of wood scar,and the principles of Hashin failure criterion,Hill yield criterion and damage mechanics are considered in the method.Then,the timber beam strengthened with one-way braided hybrid fiber sheet is selected for experimental study,and the experimental results are compared with the results of finite element simulation analysis.The results show that the method can simulate the nonlinear behavior of the two materials well.The accuracy of the simulation method is verified by the experimental results.The research results can provide a scientific basis for the calculation and evaluation of hybrid fiber reinforced timber members.
