Effect Evaluation of Acoustic Rain Enhancement Operations of Stratus-Cumulus Mixed Clouds in the Leizhou Peninsula

    • In recent years, acoustics operation began to receive widespread attention as a new technique of artificial precipitation enhancement.Based on the acoustic precipitation enhancement experiment in the Leizhou Peninsula experiment area from June to August 2023,this study conducted statistical tests on the precipitation enhancement results using double ratio analysis and regional regression analysis methods. It is selected for detailed analysis for a case of acoustic precipitation enhancement on June 15,2023,aiming to provide evidence for the feasibility of acoustic precipitation enhancement in theory and practice. The results show that:(1) The relative precipitation enhancement rates obtained from double ratio analysis and regional regression analysis are 16.54% (p<0.05) and 39.76% (t=1.960>t0.05=1.699,p<0.05),respectively.(2) After the acoustic equipment is turned on,the rainfall downstream of the operation site increases significantly.(3) Physical inspection results show that, under the influence of acoustic wave, various radar detection parameters of the target unit have positive deviations compared with the control unit, and the acoustic intervention prolongs the maturity stage of the target unit.(4) After the acoustic influence, there are significant differences in the temporal and spatial evolution trends of reflectivity factors between the target unit and the control unit.
