Damping Characteristics of Discretely Supported Curved Floating Slab Track Under Moving Load

  • To reveal the damping characteristics of curved floating slab track(FST),a double-layer beam-spring model consisting of long curved and short straight beam was established,the vibration response characteristics of curved FST under moving load was studied by mode superposition method and Runger-Kutta method and the response discrepancies between curved FST and straight FST were compared.As the minimum curve radius condition is met,increasing curve radius almost has no influence on the vertical response while the radial vibration displacement and support force increase rapidly first and then become stable.By increasing the length of floating slab,almost 50% vertical displacement and support force of the floating slab can be reduced,however,the vibration reduction effect becomes trivial when the length exceeds a certain length(larger than 9m).The changes of superelevation angle exert little effect on the vertical vibration while the radial displacement and support force increase linearly with the increase of superelevation angle.The response characteristics between curved FST and straight FST are similar,but the damping characteristics of the former is slightly superior to the latter.Increasing floating slab’s length is the best way to enhance the vibration reduction effect for the curved FST while appropriate increase of the floating slab’s bending stiffness also have vibration mitigation effect to some extent.The present study has some reference value to the vibration reduction design of a curved FST.
